CHATE - Community Health and Technical Education 

We believe in supporting local workforce programs to fill gaps that serve the critical needs of our community.  For over a decade, the Lions Club of Taos has partnered with UNM-Taos to support a pathway for students enrolled in Nursing, EMT, CNA and technical certificate programs.  We subsidize mandated entry and certification expenses incurred by all health care programs students to reduce barriers to education versus individual scholarships. Graduates have remained in the community and are serving their neighbors.  By doing this, we invest in the community and make northern New Mexico a better place to live.
